Description
The aromas feature fruity notes which are well blended with the mineral hints typical of the Vernaccia di San Gimignano grape variety. The palate is fresh, showing good complexity and an excellent balance between acidity, body, and length. A short aftertaste with a hint of almond gives it a slightly bitter finish. This wine is of excellent drinkability.
A thoroughly pleasant white wine with easy drinkability and subtle minerality.
Aged for 4-5 months in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks; 3-4 months in bottle
Best served at 10°C to 12°C

Winemaker Notes:
One of Tuscany’s rare critically acclaimed white wine producers, Teruzzi is the winery that literally put Vernaccia di San Gimignano on the map. Founded in the 1970s by Enrico Teruzzi, one of the most famous race car drivers of his generation, and Carmen Puthod, a leading ballerina of the time, the estate stretches over 180 hectares of which roughly half are planted to Vernaccia, Tuscany’s minerality-driven white grape variety.
The famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano “tufo” subsoils are composed of white sandstone that is volcanic in origin. Poor in nutrients and with scant water retention, the soils are ideal for producing fine white wine with excellent freshness, depth, nuance, and marked savoury character. Teruzzi’s vineyards are divided into four parcels, each with its own macroclimate. They allow the winemaker to achieve the perfect blend with each vintage.
Organic farming practices are employed in the vineyards and springtime green harvest is practiced each year to obtain extremely low yields — one of the elements that has made these wines famous throughout the world. The winery’s distinctive packaging featuring Medieval iconography has helped to make the wine a favourite across the globe.

Can my wine be left if I’m not home?
Yes! However if someone else is accepting the delivery for you, they must be over 18 years of age. Bottega Italia cannot deliver wines to anyone less than 18 years of age. If there is any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, our delivery drivers are obliged to request some form of photographic ID. If that recipient is unable to produce appropriate ID then the delivery driver will be unable to leave the wine.
If nobody will be at home, then just make sure when placing your order that you give us explicit instructions that it’s ok to leave the delivery. With "Authority to Leave" deliveries, our couriers will leave the wine in a safe place, where possible at the delivery address. If that’s not possible, the driver will leave a card to advise that the delivery has been will be directed to the nearest Parcel Connect agent.
By providing us with an "Authority To Leave" instruction when placing your order, then you authorise the courier to leave the goods unattended at the delivery address and you accept that once the courier has done so, the complete order has been received.
Can my order be delivered to a P.O. Box?
Unfortunately, we can only deliver to a physical address. We cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. address.
