Description
This 'small batch' Primitivo is Intense ruby red in colour with violet reflections. Complex bouquet with lots of red fruits. Full bodied, soft, quite tannic, harmonious. Ready to drink.
Aged and Refined in American and French oak barriques for 4 - 5 months.

Area of Production: Salento, Puglia.

Our vineyards lie a short distance east of Taranto in the Salento Peninsula on
a red and clay soil. The sea breezes of the Ionian Sea allow to achieve delicate flavors in the grapes and fresh and persistent mouth feelings. This variety owes its name to its early ripening, indeed Primitivo comes from the Latin “primativus” which means “early ripening”. As a matter of fact, our Primitivo is harvested at the end of August the Italian Summer.

Can my wine be left if I’m not home?
Yes! However if someone else is accepting the delivery for you, they must be over 18 years of age. Bottega Italia cannot deliver wines to anyone less than 18 years of age. If there is any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, our delivery drivers are obliged to request some form of photographic ID. If that recipient is unable to produce appropriate ID then the delivery driver will be unable to leave the wine.
If nobody will be at home, then just make sure when placing your order that you give us explicit instructions that it’s ok to leave the delivery. With "Authority to Leave" deliveries, our couriers will leave the wine in a safe place, where possible at the delivery address. If that’s not possible, the driver will leave a card to advise that the delivery has been will be directed to the nearest Parcel Connect agent.
By providing us with an "Authority To Leave" instruction when placing your order, then you authorise the courier to leave the goods unattended at the delivery address and you accept that once the courier has done so, the complete order has been received.
Can my order be delivered to a P.O. Box?
Unfortunately, we can only deliver to a physical address. We cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. address.
