Description
Intense ruby red in colour with violet reflections that are almost impenetrable. The aromas are a rich and balanced bouquet. It reveals vinous fragrances that give way to notes of blackberry, black cherry and currant. A hint of spicy nuances towards the end.
The palate is soft, round and full-bodied with persistent tannins.

The Salento region is identified by three climatic elements: the sun, the architect that creates generous degrees of sugar, the sea, responsible for the minerality of the wines, and the wind that makes this area naturally free of disease and particularly suitable for the production of "natural" wines.
Negroamaro, native to Puglia, is the main black grape variety of Salento. Its origins are very ancient (8th century B.C.) and likely owes its name to the terms "niger" (Latin) and "mavros" (Greek) which both refer to the colour black. Its great versatility makes it suitable for all types of winemaking.
The Apollonio winery’s history took root in 1870. This is a story of land and passion, that of the Apollonio family; inextricably linked to the destiny of a winery by the same name and that today exports its wines to over 30 different countries around the world. It continues to produce wine using the same methods dear to its founders, while applying the most advanced technologies through the optimization of their production process, down to the marketing of its labels.

Can my wine be left if I’m not home?
Yes! However if someone else is accepting the delivery for you, they must be over 18 years of age. Bottega Italia cannot deliver wines to anyone less than 18 years of age. If there is any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, our delivery drivers are obliged to request some form of photographic ID. If that recipient is unable to produce appropriate ID then the delivery driver will be unable to leave the wine.
If nobody will be at home, then just make sure when placing your order that you give us explicit instructions that it’s ok to leave the delivery. With "Authority to Leave" deliveries, our couriers will leave the wine in a safe place, where possible at the delivery address. If that’s not possible, the driver will leave a card to advise that the delivery has been will be directed to the nearest Parcel Connect agent.
By providing us with an "Authority To Leave" instruction when placing your order, then you authorise the courier to leave the goods unattended at the delivery address and you accept that once the courier has done so, the complete order has been received.
Can my order be delivered to a P.O. Box?
Unfortunately, we can only deliver to a physical address. We cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. address.
