An excellent Chardonnay!
Straw yellow, complex bouquet, fresh and fruity with generous hints of white fruits such as apple. It is intense on the palate, smooth and persistent. Elegant with good balance.
From the Puglia hills, north of Bari at 300/400 meters above sea level, such a magical land, rich in history, culture and tradition.
According to tradition, this area once called Canusium, was founded by Diomedes, during the Trojan War. Here he planted the vine shoots he had brought with him; the Uva di Troia was born from the cultivation and care of these branches.
'Lama Di Pietra' translates to 'Blade of Stone'.

Winemaker Profile
The winemaking tradition in the Canosa area is very ancient, as evidenced by many archaeological finds. Puglia is a prosperous region for wine production. It is divided into three winegrowing areas: Foggia in the north, Bari and Taranto in the center and Brindisi and Lecce in the south.
The north of Puglia, home to Cantina Diomede, is a concentration of colours and scents. Here viticulture has ancient origins: the legend concerning the origin of viticulture in the area has it that the king of Daunia invited the mythical Greek hero Diomede to settle there. Diomede planted the first vines in this area; for this reason, since that day the vineyards have been known as "Diomede's fields".
It is in an ancient cave in Diomede's Fields that our wines age and refine, reaching the flavour, the smell, the quality that distinguishes them on the market. During the aging in oak barrels and barriques, at a constant temperature of 12°C, the precursors of the aromas become perfumes, the bouquet harmonizes with the taste, and the whole becomes one. It is during aging and refining that our good wines become sublime.

Can my wine be left if I’m not home?
Yes! However if someone else is accepting the delivery for you, they must be over 18 years of age. Bottega Italia cannot deliver wines to anyone less than 18 years of age. If there is any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, our delivery drivers are obliged to request some form of photographic ID. If that recipient is unable to produce appropriate ID then the delivery driver will be unable to leave the wine.
If nobody will be at home, then just make sure when placing your order that you give us explicit instructions that it’s ok to leave the delivery. With "Authority to Leave" deliveries, our couriers will leave the wine in a safe place, where possible at the delivery address. If that’s not possible, the driver will leave a card to advise that the delivery has been will be directed to the nearest Parcel Connect agent.
By providing us with an "Authority To Leave" instruction when placing your order, then you authorise the courier to leave the goods unattended at the delivery address and you accept that once the courier has done so, the complete order has been received.
Can my order be delivered to a P.O. Box?
Generally yes, although Australia Post has occasionally rejected deliveries to P.O. Boxes. We will contact you if your delivery to a P.O. Box is rejected by Australia Post.
Refunds and Returns:
The following policy sets out how Bottega Italia and its related entities (DS Italia) manages customer refunds.
■ Breakages
If you receive a case of wine with broken bottles, you must take pictures of the case & bottles, then contact us within 2 working days of the date of delivery. Once we have received your claim we will work towards issuing you with an account credit equal to the price paid by you for the broken bottles.
Please note that risk of damage, loss or deterioration to product passes to the buyer upon delivery and therefore no refunds or account credits are offered for products that are damaged after you have accepted the delivery.
■ Refund Process
If you would like to submit a claim, simply email us with your pictures: bottega.italia@outlook.com
Typically we strive to have all refunds or account credits processed within 3-5 working days of your notification to us.
■ Exceptions
If we reasonably believe that a buyer is abusing our Refund Policy, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel the Refund in relation to that buyer, cancel any pending orders and/or close that buyer's account.
■ Manufacturer's liability
Subject to any rights you may have under any law, if an item purchased by you with an accompanying manufacturer’s warranty, Bottega Italia can take no responsibility for the content, fulfilment or enforcement of that manufacturer’s warranty. It is your responsibility to contact the relevant manufacturer in relation to all questions and claims relating to the manufacturer’s warranty.
Other than in the circumstances outlined above in Refund Policy and Breakages policy, no returns will be accepted and no refunds will be made in respect of purchases you make via the Bottega Italia Website.
