Magnificent oak overtones, superb floral nose. This is a magnificent 5 of 5 stars.

This aromatic and exquisite wine is produced in limited quantity and has a strong and extraordinary vigor. Thanks to its flavored structure, it can age twenty years or more.

Very deep ruby red colour. Broad bouquet with notes of cherry, dried fruits, vanilla, and a clear hint of black pepper and liquorice. The taste is full, with an exceptional strength but incredible elegance.

Aged in a combination of French and Slavonian oak barrels for 4 years which creates a very structured and incredibly aromatic wine.

Drink now through to 2036. Uncork and let it breathe in the bottle for a good 90 minutes to enhance the aromas before drinking.

Winemaker Profile:

The history of the wine producer Stefano Accorini began at the beginning of the 1900's when Stefano's father produced wine as a share cropper.

In the 1970's, Stefano bought the first vineyard of the Accordini family - "il Fornetto"in the valley of Negrar, achieving the dream of building a winery. With much planning and foresight, the family planted new vineyards, replaced the old barrels and modernised the wine production methods.

The new millennium was very significant for the Stefano Accordini winery. It was decided to move the wine production into the height of the Valpolicella Classica area, a move that would have allowed the production of wines of excellent quality. The project began with the purchase of 10 hectares in Cavolo, situated in the valley of Fumane at 550 metres above sea level.

The choice to produce wines in the hills proved to be a winner. The wines are unique both in taste and bouquet and were much appreciated right from the outset. Following the purchase of land and the creation of the new vineyards, the new winery was constructed and completed in 2011.

The fourth generation of the family continue to work with passion and dedication, concentrating on quality and the impact on the environment. All vineyards of the company are cultivated according to biological methods.
